Exploring the Often Overlooked Aspects of Our Wellbeing

In discussions surrounding wellbeing, we often encounter an unspoken boundary, a curtain veiling certain topics from our open dialogue.

While wellness conversations have made remarkable strides in recent years, there remain a myriad of dimensions that we often overlook or consciously avoid. In this blog post, we will embark on a journey to uncover some of those overlooked aspects of our wellbeing, and shed light on often underestimated elements that play a crucial role in our holistic health and nourishment.

1. Loneliness. The silent epidemic amidst our digitally connected world, we find ourselves paradoxically more isolated than ever before. The pervasive issue of loneliness permeates our lives, impacting our mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. By acknowledging and discussing the profound impact of loneliness, we can work towards building stronger support systems, fostering meaningful connections + communities, and combating the hidden epidemic of loneliness that silently plagues our society.

2. Failure + Resilience: Embracing Imperfection. The societal pressure to succeed often hinders our ability to openly discuss failure and its consequential impact on our individual and collective wellbeing. At trove, we believe that acknowledging failure is an integral part of growth and resilience that is paramount to our overall health. By normalizing discussions around failure, we can create an environment that fosters resilience, adaptability, and personal growth that not only supports our wellbeing, but also moves us forward with a greater sense of self-confidence and trust in what’s to come.

3. Vulnerability + The Power of Authenticity. Our fear of being vulnerable restricts us from exploring our true selves and deepening connections with others. Yet, vulnerability, when embraced, can be a catalyst for profound personal transformation and deep healing. By creating spaces that encourage authentic expression, we can overcome the barriers that hinder our wellbeing and forge deeper connections with ourselves and those around us. Feeling lonely? Perhaps becoming bravely vulnerable is the next addition to your wellbeing plan.

4. Grief + Loss. Navigating the uncharted depths of grief is an inevitable part of the human experience, yet its dialogue remains subdued. The unaddressed pain of loss can manifest in various forms, impacting our mental and physical health. By fostering open conversations about grief, supporting one another through the healing process, and seeking professional help when needed, we can honor our emotional wellbeing and find solace in the face of adversity.

5. Self-Care Beyond the Surface. Self-care has become a common buzzword, often associated with superficial acts of pampering. However, its true essence transcends face masks and bubble baths (though we love these too). Engaging in genuine self-care involves setting boundaries, prioritizing our needs, and nurturing our mental and emotional health. By delving beyond the surface layers of our shared humanness, we can cultivate practices that genuinely nourish our wellbeing.

6. Existential Questions. At the core of our wellbeing lies the pursuit of meaning and purpose. The existential questions surrounding our existence, the search for significance and the quest for a deeper understanding of life often remain unexplored. By acknowledging and engaging with these questions, we can unlock new dimensions of personal growth to discover profound fulfillment in our lives.

As trove works to unveil the unspoken aspects of true wellbeing, we invite in a new era of holistic health + true nourishment. By challenging societal norms and embracing vulnerability, failure, loneliness, grief and our existential quests, our aim is to create a space that fosters genuine connections, personal growth and overall wellbeing – beyond the surface

When co-founders Tanya + Zoë began realizing their shared vision for trove, they knew it had to be brought to life.  It became clear that they were not the only two people craving wellness services that felt as good to access as it did to experience them.  What has become increasingly obvious to us at trove is the deep desire so many people have for authentic, real, raw and meaningful connection, for the opportunity to walk the path of getting well – emotionally, physically, mentally – hand-in-hand, with others on the same journey.  As we get ready to open our doors at trove, we are doing so with incredible attention and intention to create as many opportunities for this as possible.

By acknowledging and addressing these hidden dimensions of ‘living well”, we believe you – our community – will truly flourish. Let us break the silence and embark on this transformative journey together.
