Winter can feel long, we know. It’s generally a season of rest, reprieve, and restoration. We tend to be less social, and find ourselves in submission to the shorter days and darker streets.
The good news is, Spring is officially upon us and we’re getting closer to sun kissed faces, longer days and warm light. Are you as excited as we are for the shift of seasons?
We’re. Almost. There.
We invite you to move through this season of transition with a level of intentionality that prepares you for the vibrancy, heat and opportunities that often accompany the longer summer days.
Here are 6 things the trove team is doing to get through the final push of winter.
1. Cold Exposure. We know. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s just so good. Exposing yourself to cold for as little as one minute a day will: boost your mood, enhance your energy, increase circulation, wake up your metabolism and support your immunity. A cold shower, an ice bath, a natural cold plunge…if you’re looking to feel shockingly alive (with the health benefits that come along with it!) cold exposure might be it for you.

2. Massage therapy. This is a wonderful treatment that will start to wake your body up from its winter-long-hibernation. A massage will support a reduction in physical, mental & emotional stress levels, provide muscle relief, and promote a healthy immune system. Not only that, but a good massage can feel like the equivalent to a thousand hours of rest, relaxation and replenishment. Highly recommend.
3. Meditation. As little as two minutes of meditation a day can decrease your overall feelings of stress and anxiety, improve your levels of focus & concentration, increase self-awareness, raise your energy levels, heighten your sense of empathy and enhance your mental health. There are a lot of hidden benefits to sitting still for two minutes a day…The question is, will you try it?

4. Superfood coffee. We start our days off right! But what exactly IS superfood coffee? There are many versions of a morning “superfood coffee”, but here’s ours! You’ll need one cup of strong coffee with a few intentional additions: collagen, Rainbo mushroom tincture (we love the 11:11 option for a full bodied mixture of adaptogenic mushrooms), and Beekeeper’s Naturals b powered superfood honey (the full power of the hive with pollen, propolis, royal jelly and honey). This will give you a delicious, long-lasting source of energy, antioxidants and immunity without the body buzz or jitters. Oh! And we like to add a healthy dose of frothed nut milk to taste.
5. IV drip. There are morning supplements, and then there are IV drips. If you’re feeling depleted, dehydrated or drained we highly recommend a visit to your local naturopath to support you with an IV drip. There’s nothing like giving yourself one hour to sit and receive the vital nutrients your body might be craving.
6. Journaling. The power of reflection & visioning is underrated. We enjoy taking a few minutes each day to look at how we’ve been and where we’re going to see where we need to focus our resources each day and to ensure we are in alignment with our highest potential. Here are 5 journal prompts that will support you through the transition from winter to spring:
- What am I excited to leave behind in the winter season?
- What am I looking forward to taking on and exploring as the summer approaches?
- Where am I currently feeling depleted and desiring support?
- What am I wanting to make more time for and prioritize as the season changes?
- Where will I find the most health, joy and peace in the season ahead?

At trove, our highest priority is your wellbeing. We hope that this list of suggested activities will support you through the final stretch of winter the same way it’s supporting us!
